A theory~

When I was searching information on my topic I found a very interesting post written by Teisha-Vonique Hood. While reading her ideas and theories it made me analyze the idea she was trying to get across. I always thought that us, teenagers, found a way to express ourselves through our style, but that doesn't always mean that the way we dress defines the person we truly are.

Teisha states that perhaps one of the reasons teenagers tend to define who they are by how they dress is because a lot of celebrities have their own brands, and those brands define who they are as artists. "When they wear an article of clothing that says GAP or listen to music by Eminem, they are creating a brand of themselves", stated Teisha.

The article shows what other people believe when it comes to why someone dresses up in the way they do. I posted the article above so you guys can read more about what Teisha thinks.

  1. I find it really interesting reading the article about what teisha talked about and thought about teens and the way they dress according to their environment. I find it funny how after reading the article, you start to notice things around you. Everyday during school hours and afterwards even you find people with their groups of friends, and somehow they all have someting similar and it's usually reflected in what they wear.
